Delhi (Metro Rail News): The Delhi – Ghaziabad – Meerut RRTS project has progressed with the completion of track laying work at Modipuram, which is also the last Namo Bharat station (towards Meerut) of this corridor.

Key Features of Modipuram RRTS Station
Modipuram RRTS Station is strategically located along National Highway-58. In addition, it serves as an important terminal for both the Namo Bharat (RRTS) and Meerut Metro services.
- The station comprises three platforms, of which two are dedicated to semi-high-speed Namo Bharat trains and one is for Meerut Metro services.
- With a total length of 215 meters and a width of 34 meters, the station is designed to manage high passenger volumes efficiently.
- The Passenger movement is facilitated through eight staircases, eight escalators, and six lifts to ensure smooth access across levels.

Current Status of Delhi–Meerut RRTS
The Namo Bharat trains are currently operational along a 55-kilometre stretch between New Ashok Nagar in Delhi and Meerut South, covering 11 stations.
Recently, the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) announced the successful electrification of the section between New Ashok Nagar and Sarai Kale Khan. NCRTC plans to make the entire corridor operational by June 2025.
