DELHI (Metro Rail News): The Keshopur-Pushpanjali section of Delhi Metro’s Magenta Line is about to complete. Trial runs on this section are scheduled to start next month. The 6 km stretch is expected to open by the end of 2026, adding 6 stations and improving interchange access across northwest Delhi, as per TOI report.
This section is part of the 29 km Janakpuri West-RK Ashram Marg Corridor under Delhi Metro Rail Corporation’s (DMRC) Phase IV expansion project. Civil construction on this stretch has been completed, while work on station facilities and other finishing activities are underway.
6 stations to connect Delhi Metro’s Magenta and Green Line
The section will have six stations:
- Keshopur
- Paschim Vihar
- Mangolpuri
- West Enclave
- Pushpanjali
- Peeragarhi
Peeragarhi will serve as an interchange with the existing Green Line. The opening will also strengthen connections with three other metro corridors:

| Red Line | Pitampura |
| Yellow Line | Haiderpur Badli Mor |
| Pink Line | Majlis Park |
The extension is expected to provide a more direct metro connection between northwest Delhi and destinations in south Delhi, Noida and Indira Gandhi International Airport’s Terminal 1.
Peeragarhi to have dedicated interchange foot overbridge
Station layouts have been planned around passenger movement and interchange requirements. Five stations will have three levels, with the ground floor for entry and exit, the first floor for the concourse and the second floor for platforms. Peeragarhi will follow a different layout because of its interchange function. Its ground floor will accommodate the concourse, while the first floor will combine concourse and platform facilities. A 160-metre-long foot overbridge on the second floor will connect the station with the existing Green Line station.
A crossover has also been provided along the section to support train operations. The stations will include passenger information displays, public address systems, automatic fare collection gates, lifts, escalators and platform screen doors. The corridor will use communication-based train control (CBTC) signalling and an unattended train operation system. Mangolpuri will have three entry and exit points, the highest number on this stretch. West Enclave will have two, including an emergency exit.
Delhi Metro Phase IV Corridor to expand Magenta Line
The 29-km Janakpuri West-RK Ashram Marg corridor has 22 stations. DMRC has already opened two sections:
- Janakpuri West-Krishna Park Extension: 1.8 km, opened on January 5, 2026.
- Deepali Chowk-Majlis Park: 9.9 km, opened on March 8, 2026.
The Keshopur-Pushpanjali section will add another 6 km to the operational network. Once it opens, the Magenta Line will extend to 55 km and serve 39 stations.
Delhi Metro’s wider expansion plans include the remaining Janakpuri West-RK Ashram Marg section, followed by the proposed Central Vista corridor between RK Ashram and Indraprastha and the Indraprastha-Inderlok corridor. With these additions, the Magenta Line is planned to reach 88.4 km, running from Botanical Garden to Inderlok. The expanded route is intended to operate as a fully driverless corridor.
