MUMBAI (Metro Rail News): Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has invited bids for the civil construction work of the Mumbai Metro’s Orange Line.
Package C-240
Package C-240 has been formed by amalgamating two packages, CA-185 & CA-186, of Civil construction for which bids were invited further; the tendering process was cancelled in June due to a change of Scope.
Metro Line 12
It’s a 22.17 Km long southern elevated section of the under-construction of the 24.9 Km Line 5 at an estimated cost of Rs 4,132 Crore.

The critical details of the tender are:
- Bid Opening Date: January 29 at 11 am
- Estimate: Rs. 1877.88 crore
- Period of Work: 30 months
- Pre-Bid Meeting: January 3, 2024 at 11 am
- Bid Submission End Date: January 25, 2024 at 5 pm
Scope of the Contract
The contract includes Part design and construction of an elevated viaduct and 19 elevated stations, including a connecting line from Vadavli (khu) to the depot of line 12, excluding architectural finishing & pre-engineered steel roof structure of stations.

The 19 stations on the line are:
Kalyan, APMC Kalyan, Ganesh Nagar, Pisavali Gaon, Golavli, Dombivli MIDC, Sagaon, Sonarpada, Manpada, Hedutane, Kolegaon, Nilje Gaon, Vadavli (khu), Bale, Waklan, Turbhe, Pisarve Depot, Pisarve, Amandoot.
One of the Longest
The package will be one of the most extended packages of civil construction only after Hyderabad Metro’s 31 Km Airport Line that reaims in doll drum as the new government takes over the charge.
