HARYANA (Metro Rail News): Haryana Mass Rapid Transport Corporation Limited (HMRTC)  is aiming to develop a large public transport network nearby Gurugram and in all over NCR. The existing services of Rapid Metro are being used excessively by around 88.81 lakh of commuters from last year which was 79.57, leading to proposed metro and namo bharat corridors to connect more commuters to their workplace, industrial areas and neighbouring cities.

If these projects show a successful result, traveling will become more convenient across the NCR. There are several proposals which need to be approved, this development is not just because of rising passengers, it’s a major effort to connect local metro services with faster regional rail.

Gurugram Rapid Metro records 11.62% ridership

Heavy traffic is forcing people to avoid private and public road transport and use the Metro, and the Metro is making more money than usual. Ticket revenue has also increased from 16.66 to 18.60 crore, and passengers increased by around 9.24 lakh (11.62%) in April- August 2026 compared to April- August 2025.

Which makes Gurugram introduce more connectivity with Delhi and Uttar Pradesh, also this ridership shows the importance of public transport and gives reason to prepare Gurugram and NCR for future travel demand.
