Notably, the Jammu and Kashmir government has submitted a final Detailed Project Reports (DPR) of Rs. 10,599 crores for the metro rail projects in Jammu and Srinagar the MoHUA for approval on 19th September 2021.
Now, it’s expected that the project will be completed by December 2024. Earlier, the MoHUA has researched the passengers per hour per direction feasibility of the Light Rail Metro system given the economic viability. Following this, RITES Ltd shared a revised DPR and recommended Metro lite instead of Light Rail Metro, costing Rs. 10,599 crores. Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) provide funding for these projects, including Rs. 5,734 crores for Srinagar and Rs. 4,825 crores for Jammu.
After completion, Srinagar and Jammu will become the first two non-major cities in India to functional the rapid transport network. As per the given report, Jammu Light Metro will operate 17 hours a day round the year, while Srinagar Light Metro will operate daily during summers and 14 hours during winters.
The metro rail lines will have only elevated corridors as the underground tunnels are not found feasible. The coaches of the Metro lite system will be modern, lightweight, and made from stainless steel and aluminium with an air-conditioning system, as per the DPRs.
The Jammu Light Rail System will have a 23 KMs length with 22 stations between Bantalab and Bari Brahmana. In contrast, the Srinagar light rail system will have a 25 KMs length that includes a 12.5 KMs length from Indira Nagar to HMT Junction and a 12.5 KMs length from Hazuri Bagh Osmanabad with 24 stations (12 stations on each corridor).
India (Metro Rail News): October is celebrated as National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM), India is said to be becoming the fastest global capital, with mounting cases of cyber-attacks in the rail industry. Globally on average, a cyber-attack against critical rail systems occurs every 30 days.
“In early 2021 we identified India as a focus market for rail cybersecurity. Following this travel to India, I am confident about the maturity of the market and am sure that we are on the right track to success. Customers recognize their cybersecurity gaps and are aware of the potential risks, and regulatory bodies, like MoHUA, are taking active steps to enforce cybersecurity”.
“I trust we can protect rail companies in India and jointly develop a big and sustainable business thanks to our product which is deployed in India at Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation (GMRC) Limited – Ahmedabad Metro project. It is an important milestone for Cylus, it will enhance existing rail systems’ cybersecurity capabilities” said by the CEO Mr. Amir Levintal.
Ashish Upadhyay, Country Director of Cylus, “Cylus has developed a portfolio of solutions and services, collectively named CylusOneTM, for the protection of railway assets against cyber threats. We are vendor agnostic and are tier-1 rail cybersecurity suppliers to major rail OEMs
and railway companies. Cylus intends on doubling-down on its activities in the Indian market in 2022-2023”.
“Cyberattacks impact safety and several recent security incidents show that the threats are real and that there is an urgent need to deal with these risks. Strong IT and OT cyber security requirements and regulation should be the prime foundation but still, there is a lot to be done in India as currently a standard rail cybersecurity policy or guidelines has not been issued by the Indian regulators”, Country Director commented.

Green refers to the clear route and the driver (Train Operator) can proceed freely with the allowed speed limit.
One more kind of signal is there for movement inside the Depot. This signal has 3 white lights. When two lights glow horizontally, the driver is instructed to stop and when the two lights glow at a 45-degree angle, the train is allowed to proceed. This signal is called ‘Shunt Signal.’

The first diaphragm wall of the proposed Naveen Market metro station was lowered to a depth of about 22 meters by means of advanced cranes. The diaphragm wall can be understood as the boundary of a metro station. Before the construction of the underground metro station, this wall is constructed as a security enclosure around it. The D-wall is made up of small rectangular panels measuring around 5 meters in length and around 800 millimetres (mm) in width. Approx 100 such panels are used to prepare the D-wall of a UG metro station, 105 panels will be used in the construction of the Naveen Market Metro station.
For underground section-I, a special casting yard has been set up at the HBTU premises, where rings will be cast for the underground tunnel. Today, Shri. Kumar Keshav, Managing Director, UPMRC also inaugurated the casting process of the first ring through the machine. This ring will be made up of 6 small segments, having a total diameter of about 6 meters. The ring cast in this yard will support the tunnel during tunnelling work by Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM).

UTTAR PRADESH, INDIA (Metro Rail News): Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited (UPMRC) has claimed another innovation while executing the Kanpur Metro Rail Project. For the very first time in India, UPMRC has made the provision in the Kanpur Metro Rail Project for installing a special inverter device with the Third Rail DC Traction System to convert the Direct Current (DC) power regenerated through the train’s breaking into Alternate Current and reroute the same to the Metro System for reuse. Kanpur Metro’s trains will have an energy efficiency of about 40-45% which means at the expenditure of every 1000 units, up to 450 units can be regenerated through breaking and be used again with the help of ‘Regenerative Breaking Technology’. No other Metro Project in India, that is running on the Third Rail DC Traction System has such type of arrangement to conserve energy.
At present, the Bangalore, Kochi, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, and Gurgaon Rapid Metro Projects are operating on the Third Rail DC Traction System in the country and none of them has any provision to reuse the Direct Current (DC) energy regenerated through train braking. This is because the energy regenerated is in DC form, while the rest of the Metro system runs on AC current. Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (UPMRC) has provided the above-mentioned special inverter for the Traction System in Kanpur, which can convert 750 volts DC current regenerated through braking of the train into 33 kV AC current for reuse in the system.
Speaking in this regard, Shri Kumar Keshav, Managing Director, UPMRC said, “With the objective of ‘Clean Metro, Green Metro’, we have made innovations for energy conservation while executing our projects. In the Metro Projects operating with AC Traction System in the country, including Lucknow, there is a provision for energy conservation with the technique of ‘Regenerative Braking’, but no such system is available for the Third Rail DC Traction System. With the help of this innovation, the Kanpur Metro Rail Project will set an example in terms of energy conservation for all other Metro Projects in the country that are operating on the Third Rail Traction System. buy orlistat online https://www.parkviewortho.com/wp-content/languages/new/prescription/orlistat.html no prescription
