CHENNAI (Metro Rail News): In order to create awareness about the accidents that may occur during natural calamities, a mock rehearsal of the disaster rescue team was conducted at the Chennai Metro Rail Limited, Administration Office Building, Koyambedu.
The National Disaster Response Team and Tamil Nadu Disaster Response Team jointly conducted the disaster recovery drill to create awareness about saving the public and property during natural calamities such as earthquakes, landslides, fires, floods, storms and accidents.
Practical training was conducted in coordination with the Disaster Rescue Team, Police, Fire Department, Medical Department, their work contribution and activities.
The Disaster Response Team was chaired by Thiru. Rajesh Chaturvedi, Director (Systems and Operations), Chennai Metro Rail Limited.
The group demonstrated on protection of lives and belongings during such calamities. For the first time, the National Disaster Team has conducted this rehearsal at the CMRL. The National Disaster Team informed that it was a matter of pride for them to hold a process briefing for the first time.
Security Officer of CMRL, Dr. Prabhakaran, Arakkonam National Disaster Team Assistant Commander Thiru. P. Sudhakar, Tamil Nadu Disaster Rescue Team Commander Senthil, District Fire Officer, Thiru.Karthikeyan, Medical Education Office Dr. Senthilkumar, Koyambedu Police Station Inspector Thiru. Chandrasekhar, Private Security Guards, Officials and Staff were present during the occasion.
