Nagpur (Metro Rail News): The joint venture of YFC Projects and BBG Infrastructure has started casting activities for Package C-09 under Phase 2 of the Nagpur Metro project. A brief ceremonial event, including a pooja, was held to mark the initiation, attended by representatives from BBG, project contractors, Nagpur Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC), and General Consultant (GC) teams.

Package C-09 is a part of the 43.8 km Phase 2` of the Nagpur Metro, specifically on the Orange Line’s Reach-1A. The scope includes the construction of eight elevated stations:
Ashokvan
Dongargaon
Mohgaon
Meghdoot CIDCO
Butibori Police Station
MHADA Colony
MIDC KEC
MIDC ESR
Contract Details:
Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited (Maha-Metro) invited bids for Package C-09 in April 2024, with an estimated contract value of ₹258 crore and a completion timeline of 2.5 years.

In January 2025, the YFC–BBG JV was selected as the lowest bidder, quoting ₹219.33 crore. The project is being financed through a USD 200 million loan secured from the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
Scope Overview:
The primary scope under Package C-09 includes the civil construction of the aforementioned eight elevated metro stations. The associated viaduct works connecting these stations fall under Package C-02, which was awarded to GR Infraprojects Ltd. (GRIL) in October 2024 at a contract value of ₹903.53 crore.
