Tender for Bengaluru Suburban Rail finalized by Karnataka Government

KARNATAKA (Metro Rail News): The Karnataka government has finalized a tender for the construction of a 25-Km second stretch of the proposed Bengaluru Suburban Railway System valued at Rs 859 crore according to state Infrastructure and Housing Minister, V Somanna.

The basic infrastructure for the second stretch of the four-corridor suburban railway system will be finished in 27 months and electrification of the line will then be undertaken, Minister V Somanna told the Karnataka Legislative Council on 21st September.
