KOLKATA (Metro Rail News): For the benefit of commuters ‘Metro Ride Kolkata’ app was launched on March 5, 2022. This user-friendly app enables commuters to recharge their Smart Cards or book QR Code Based Tickets at any time from the comforts of their homes. As a result, it is gaining popularity among Metro users. Till October 26, 2022, 1,99,387 commuters have downloaded this app having a rating of 4.6.
In order to make more commuters aware of this app, special promotional films on how to download and use this app are also being shown on platform televisions of North-South and East-West Metro stations. Social Media platforms are also being used to popularize this app.
It is helping Metro commuters to save time as they don’t need to stand in long queues in front of the booking counters to re-charge their Smart Cards or Purchase Tickets.
