DAVOS (Metro Rail News): Dr Sanjay Mukherjee, IAS, Metropolitan Commissioner, MMRDA, along with Mr Aseem Gupta, Principal Secretary, IASn, Urban Development Department, Govt. of Maharashtra, had a fruitful discussion with Mr Bernard Obika, MD CEG UK Ltd. (CEG), a subsidiary of CEG India, at the World Economic Forum.

The key areas of discussion included Smart Transportation Solutions, Automation, & Digitization in the Transport Sector, Safe & Sustainable Transportation in MMR, and advancements in Project Management Consultancy for overseeing big-ticket infrastructure projects.

Technological Advancement 

Technological advancements such as driverless Metro train Systems, which may result in higher operational efficiency and the transformative impact of Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology on the construction of metro rail were also discussed.
