Agra Metro gets bids for its 1st Section & a Depot

Agra Metro gets bids for its 1st Section & a Depot

AGRA (Metro Rail News): In a recent development, the Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (UPMRCL) is reported to have initiated the bidding process for construction of the 29 km long Agra metro project which is supposed to have two different lines. According to a media report, the first elevated section of the 14.25 km Line-1 will be around 4 km long which will connect the Taj East Gate to the Taj Mahal Ramp with three stations at Taj East Gate, Basai and Fatehabad Road in eastern Agra.

It is also reported that the metro work is going to gain pace after the recent judgement of the Supreme Court of India which ruled in favour of the development of the metro project in the city of Taj. UPMRCL is also reported to have inviting bids for constructing Line-1’s train maintenance depot for its
