State Govt. Allocates Rs.12,000 Cr for Jaipur Metro’s Line 2

Jaipur ( Metro Rail News): Jaipur Metro Project progressed as Rajasthan State Government has announced allocation of Rs.12,000 crore for the construction of Jaipur Metro Line 2, which will connect Sitapuri- Ambabari – Vidhyadhar Nagar. 

As per the Finance Minister Diya Kumari’s statement, the project will be executed by the newly formed Rajasthan Metro Railway Corporation (RMRC), which is a joint venture between the  Central Government and the state government. 

Official Statement from Finance Minister 

Finance Minister Diya Kumari stated, “RMRC would undertake the construction of Metro Line 2 connecting the Sitapura Industrial Area and Ambabari, further extending till Vidhyadhar Nagar. The project would cost Rs 12,000 crore” 

Future Projection 

With this development, RMRC had begun the preparation of the revised Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the Jaipur Metro Line 2’s Sitapuri to Ambabari section. Furthermore, JMRC is preparing another DPR for Line 2’s Ambabari to Vidhyadhar Nagar stretch. 

Regarding this, a Metro official stated “The DPR is virtually complete. Now, it’s incumbent upon the state govt to approve the DPR and grant clearance for the construction works”.
