CHENNAI (Metro Rail News): 6 firms submitted bids for 2 different contracts to commission the electrification system for lines 3 and 5 of the Chennai Metro (OHE, RSS, ASS, & SCADA) after Chennai Metro Rail Ltd. (CMRL) released technical bids on 17th October.
Both of these lines, which are now under construction as part of Chennai Metro’s 118.9 km Phase 2 project, would connect Madhavaram – SIPCOT (Line-3, 45.813 km) and Madhavaram – Sholinganallur (Line-5, 47 km) with a combination of elevated and underground stations.
