AHMEDABAD (Metro Rail News): NHSRCL announced the completion of Land Acquisition for the MAHSR project in Gujarat on Monday. The last parcel of Land was acquired in September at Kathore Village in Surat district.Â
Out of 951.14 hectares, 6,336 were private properties spread across eight districts of Gujarat. The total land acquired in Gujarat under the project goes as follows:

The operational control centre will be located at Sabarmati in Ahmedabad, and there will be Three depots, Two in Gujarat- Surat & Maharashtra and one in Maharashtra- Thane. The phase phase of the project between Surat & Bilimora is expected to be on track by 2026.Â
The MAHSR project is being built between Ahmedabad & Mumbai as a High-Speed Rail Project employing Japan’s Shinkansen Technology at an estimated cost of Rs 1.10 lakh Crores.Â
