(Metro Rail News): Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train Project is progressing rapidly as Shri Vivek Kumar Gupta, Managing Director of NHSRCL, recently inspected the construction of the temporary access bridge over river Vaitarna which is situated between the Western Railway lines on one side and a marshy area on the other.

The bridge over the Vaitarna River spans 2.32 km and is the longest river bridge for the Bullet Train corridor.


Other areas inspected by the MD of NHSRCL
During the visit, MD also inspected the under-construction mountain tunnel of the MAHSR corridor, located in Jalsar, Palghar district. This is the longest tunnel of the MAHSR corridor spanning 1.4 km approx. This tunnel is being constructed through the New Austrian Tunnelling Method (NATM).

Shri Gupta also reviewed the construction work of other mountain tunnels located in the Palghar district.

The MD of NHSRCL also examined the under-construction Virar Bullet Train station of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad high-speed rail corridor.
About Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train Project
Mumbai Ahmedabad High-Speed Corridor (MAHSR) is an under-construction 508 km high-speed rail line that will enhance connectivity between Mumbai and Ahmedabad.
The 12 stations have been planned for MAHSR. Out of 12 stations, 4 stations are located in Maharashtra while the remaining 8 are located in Gujarat.
Stations: Mumbai, Thane, Virar, Boisar, Vapi, Bilimora, Surat, Bharuch, Vadodara, Anand/Nadiad, Ahmedabad, and Sabarmati
