Further Information
This development was recorded 3 years after Alstom Transport, the company that won the contracts for Line-4’s trains and signaling, withdrew from the project in 2022 because of slow progress in civil construction, particularly with the train depot, which still did not have a finalized location at that time.
Thane Ghodhbunder residents have suffered the most in the last 20 years due to rapid urbanization, but the infrastructure building by the governments has not kept pace with it. Metro Line 6 would have reduced the burden from the roads and trains by almost 50 percent. But due to the never ending delay in completion of these projects is causing frustration among the residents. Even after paying Crores of Rupees for Apartments here, the ground reality is very bad. When will people get relief from these problems?
