MUMBAI (Metro Rail News): Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has now invited tenders to supply and commission ballastless track of standard gauge for the remaining section from Swami Samarth Nagar to Seepz Village for the 14.47 km long elevated Line-6 of Mumbai Metro.
Name of Work – Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of Ballastless Track Work of Standard Gauge from S.S.Nagar (Ch.-822.508) to Seepz Village (Including) (Ch.6693.663) Elevated Sections of Line 6 Corridor of Mumbai Metro Project.

Few days ago, DMRC invited tenders to supply and commission ballastless track of standard gauge from Seepz Village to Vikhroli section for the same Line-6 of Mumbai Metro. With this, ballastless track work contracts are invited for the whole 14.47 km long Line-6.
As mentioned earlier, Line-6 of Mumbai Metro is an under construction line of length 14.47 km with 13 stations on the route. It is a fully elevated line connecting Swami Samarth Nagar (Lokhandwala) in Andheri in the western suburbs to Vikhroli and Kanjurmarg in the eastern suburbs.
The Detailed Project Report (DPR) of Line-6 is prepared by DMRC. The cost of project is INR 6,672 Crores which was approved by the Maharashtra Government in October 2017. The depot and workshop facilities for this line will be located at Kanjurmarg. The first section of Line-6 is expected to become operational by 2025.
The 13 elevated Metro Stations on the line are – Swami Samarth Nagar, Adarsh Nagar, Jogeshwari (West), Jogeshwari-Vikhroli Link Road, Shyam Nagar,Maha Kali Caves, SEEPZ Village, Saki Vihar Road, Rambaug, Powai Lake, IIT Powai, Kanjurmarg (West) and Vikhroli (EEH).
