Central Approves Delhi Metro’s Yellow Line Expansion from Samaypur Badli to Sonipat

Delhi ( Metro Rail News): The Delhi Metro progressed as Mr Tokhan Sahu, Minister of MoHUA, (Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs ) approved the Yellow Line extension from Samaypur Badli to Sonipat via Nathupur. He confirmed the approval in a written statement to the Lok Sabha. 

Tokhan Sahu, the Minister of State for the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), presented the information in a formal written statement to the Lok Sabha. He confirmed the in-principle approval for the preparation of the Detailed Project Report (DPR). The inquiry specifically addressed the potential extension of the Yellow Line from the Samaypur Badli Metro Station to Narela.

Mr. Tokhan Sahu stated, “Central Government provides financial assistance to an urban rail-based system based on feasibility of the proposal and availability of resources, as and when posed by the concerned State Governments/UT Administrations”. 

Delhi Metro’s Yellow Line 

The Delhi Metro’s Yellow Line spans 47.2 km from Samaypur Badli to Millennium City Centre in Gurugram through 37 stations. The yellow line of the Delhi Metro serves as an interchange point for the other 8 lines. 

Further Process  

With the approval, The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) can now proceed with the preparation of the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the approved section.
