About the project
The Chennai Multi Modal Logistics Park (MMLP) is a significant logistics infrastructure project that aims to improve cargo movement by connecting rail, road, and port services. The new rail link from Kadambattur Railway Station will give direct access to the logistics park. This will help move freight more efficiently and lower road congestion and logistics costs. Chennai MMLP Private Limited is a joint venture of the National Highways Logistics Management Limited (NHLML), Chennai Port Authority (ChPA), Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL), and Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation (TIDCO). This project is a key part of the government’s plan to strengthen multimodal freight infrastructure.
