Chennai metro to let users make up for lost days

CHENNAI (Metro Rail News): The commuters of the metro rail with monthly passes and trips cards can make up for the times they were not prepared to use the service while the lockdown time once the services restart.

The Metro officials announced that the commuters taking these passes and cards can address customer care personnel in any station to get the passes replaced after which they may use the same for the remaining days in the card.

Initially, metro rail operations were cancelled within March 23 and 31 but were closed till 14th of April after the Centre announced a 21-day nationwide lockdown from March 25 to make the spread of coronavirus under control.

Chennai Metro Rail Limited had opened 2,500 monthly pass that enables commuters unlimited rides.

Trip cards provide commuters set a number of trips in a specific number of times within 2 stations.
