Ahmedabad Metro: GMRC floats track maintenance tender for North-South Corridor of Phase 1 & 2

AHMEDABAD (Metro Rail News): Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation (GMRC) has invited a tender for track maintenance work on Ahmedabad Metro’s North-South Corridor. The estimated cost of the project is around Rs 3.79 crore and it will cover track work across parts of both Phase 1 and Phase 2 Corridor.

Scope of work

The scope of work includes track maintenance work of NS Corridor: Part-A (APMC Station to Motera Station including Gyaspur Depot, Ramp and Pocket track) of Ahmedabad Metro Rail Project Phase-1 & Part-B (Motera Stations end to Mahatma Mandir Station, GNLU-Gift City Corridor including Indroda Park Depot, Ramp, Pocket track, Exit & Entry lines and dead ends) of Ahmedabad Metro Rail Project Phase-2 

About the project 

Ahmedabad Metro’s North-South Corridor connects important residential, commercial, and business areas in Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar. The corridor also provides connectivity to GIFT City, which is one of India’s leading financial and business hubs. Through this contract, GMRC plans to maintain track quality and improve operational reliability across both Phase 1 and Phase 2 sections of the metro network.
