As of 16 Oct 2026, Bengaluru Metro Blue Line is under construction. Latest news: 16 Oct 2026.
The Bengaluru Metro Blue Line is a 58.19 km BMRCL corridor from Central Silk Board to Kempegowda International Airport via KR Puram and Hebbal, with 29 planned stations. As of October 2026 it is under construction. Trial runs on the 19.75 km Silk Board to KR Puram section (Phase 2A) are targeted from November 2026, with opening expected in 2027 and the full airport line by March 2028.
The Blue Line puts a metro on the Outer Ring Road, Bengaluru's busiest IT corridor, linking tech parks in Bellandur, Marathahalli and Doddanekundi with the Yellow, Purple and Pink lines. It is also the city's first rail link to Kempegowda International Airport, giving a fixed travel time in place of unpredictable road trips. At 58.19 km it is the longest single corridor in Namma Metro's Phase 2 programme.
The 29 stations below run from Central Silk Board to KIAL Terminals. Interchanges are listed where a station connects with another line or a railway station.

It runs 58.19 km from Central Silk Board along the Outer Ring Road to KR Puram, then north via Nagawara and Hebbal to the Kempegowda International Airport terminals.
Trial runs on the Silk Board to KR Puram section are targeted from November 2026 and that section is expected to open in 2027. The full line to the airport is now targeted for March 2028.
29 stations are planned: 13 on Phase 2A (Silk Board to KR Puram) and 16 on Phase 2B (KR Puram to the airport). The Bettahalasuru station was dropped after its private funder withdrew.

The Union Cabinet approved Phase 2A and 2B together in April 2021 at a completion cost of ₹14,788.101 crore.
