The engineering team of Afcons used a launching girder, or launching gantry for the commissioning of the first segment at the Piplani Chauraha. The launching girder is a massive mechanical crane which places the pre-cast concrete for the fast construction of the metro viaduct. During the launch of the segment, S. Nakkiran, the Project Director at Afcons, MPMRCL Director works and other officials were present.

The Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (MPMRCL) awarded the project contract for the construction of the elevated stations along the Blue line to Afcons Infrastructure in December 2024, at a cost of 1006.74 Crore. The company is constructing the Corridor as an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contractor.
