LUCKNOW (Metro Rail News): Ranjit Buildcon Ltd. has secured a contract worth Rs 383.98 crore for building a significant elevated section of Lucknow Metro Phase 1B. The project features an elevated viaduct, five metro stations, a depot connection ramp, and several support facilities.

Scope of work
Under this contract, Ranjit Buildcon will design and construct the main line elevated viaduct from ThakurGanj Metro Station to Vasantkunj Metro Station (approx. 4.6 km including station length), construction of ramp (approx. 740.00 m) to connect viaduct & depot entry/exit and 5 nos. of elevated metro stations i.e., Thakurganj, Balaganj, Sarfarajganj, Musabagh & Vasantkunj, including civil, associated ancillary structures, PEB structures, architectural work, water supply, sanitary installation, drainage, external development, fire fighting arrangement, E&M works in Phase-1B of Lucknow Metro.
About the Project
The East-West Corridor is part of Lucknow Metro Phase 1B. The proposed corridor will connect Charbagh to Vasant Kunj and it is going to be 11.165 km long. Around 4.286 km of the route will be elevated, while 6.879 km will be underground. This route will enhance connectivity in several densely populated areas of old Lucknow.
