Kolkata ( Metro Rail News ): Kolkata Metro progressed as successful trials were conducted on the under Construction Line 4 (Yellow Line ) spanning 16.876 km from Noapara to Barasat featuring 10 stations and Green Line .
About the Trials on Yellow Line
On 24 January 2025, The trials were conducted on a 7.03 km stretch of Line 4 connecting Noapara and Jai Hind Biman Bandar (airport) metro stations through 4 stations.

Metro Railway Kolkata General Manager P Uday Kumar Reddy was also present during the trials. During the trials, P Uday Kumar Reddy also inspected the Dum Dum Cantonment station and Jai Hind Biman Bandar Metro station.

About the Trials on Green Line
On 21 January 2025, The first trial run was conducted successfully on sealdah-esplanade stretch of green line spanning 2.63 km.
Shri P. Uday Kumar Reddy, General Manager, Metro Railway and Chairman, Kolkata Metro Rail Corporation Limited (KMRCL), other senior officers of Metro Railway and KMRCL were present during the trials.
