Bangalore (Metro Rail News): Bangalore Metro’s Green Line extension advanced as the commissioner of Metro Railway Safety (CMRS) and his team completed the final safety inspection for the 3.03 km long Nagasandra – Madavara stretch.
The Green Line extension in the north from Nagasandra to Madavara, spanning 3.03 Km, features three stations.
Stations:
- Manjunathanagar
- Chikkabidarakallu
- Madavara
The CMRS team’s scope of investigation included:
- Assessment of the line’s viaduct built by Simplex Infrastructure
- Motor trolley inspection of its standard gauge tracks installed by Texmaco Rail & Engineering
- Station facilities and amenities.
- Safety and control room features.
Bangalore Metro Green Line
Operational Route: The Green Line of Bangalore Metro is operational between Nagasandra station and the Silk route station spanning 30 km approx with 29 stations in total.

The Green Line from Nagasandra to Yelachenahalli is a part of Phase 1. Later in Phase 2, the Green Line was extended south from Yelachenahalli to Silk Route spanning 6.29 Km via 5 stations.
Process Ahead
The CMRS will now submit the investigation report to BMRCL. The next steps for BMRCL will involve addressing any identified deficiencies and submitting a compliance report back to the CMRS for review.
