NEW DELHI (Metro Rail News): Indian Railways ushers into the era of modernization with modern stations, trains and technology. Six modern Vande Bharat Trains presently running in service over Indian Railways. ‘Bharat Gaurav’ Trains launched to showcase India’s rich cultural heritage and magnificent historical places. Railways’ Capex saw a quantum jump to Rs 1,90,267cr in FY22. Station redevelopment is the main focus area to enhance customer satisfaction.

One Station One Product scheme implemented at 535 stations with 572 outlets. Tenders awarded for Deployment of Kavach on Delhi-Mumbai & Delhi-Howrah corridors (around 3000Rkm) during 2022. During 2022, panels of about 14000 candidates have been supplied to the Indenting Railway(s)/ Production Unit(s) by 21 Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) across India. An aadhaar-based authentication system has been introduced in RRB Exams for the first time.
