
PATNA (Metro Rail News): KEC International Ltd. emerged as the lowest bidder for the supply and commissioning of standard gauge ballasted track for New ISBT Depot of Patna Metro after DMRC (Delhi Metro Rail Corporation) opened financial bids for this contract on July 16.
The New ISBT Depot will be utilized to maintain and stable metro trains for Line-1 (16.86 km) and Line-2 (14.05 km) under Phase-1 of Patna Metro. The contract for its construction was awarded to Quality Buildcon for a value of INR 143.35 Crores in December 2020. However, the construction process for the depot got delayed due to a land acquisition issue and now land acquisition has started with construction activities to begin from September.
