NEW DELHI (Metro Rail News): In a major development, The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has invited applications for a tender for remodelling of Ajronda Depot in Faridabad on DMRC’s Violet line which stretches from Kashmere Gate to Raja Nahar Singh area of Ballabhgarh in Faridabad. The DMRC has also released the names of firms taking part in the process.

The proposal includes remodelling of the metro line along with increasing Ajronda Depot’s capacity. This is a part of the DMRC’s plan to repurpose the Sarita Vihar metro station.
It also includes stabling and maintenance works for the 20 km long proposed Aerocity to Tughlakabad which is under development and not operational yet. The bid was invited by the Corporation with an estimated cost of Rs. 61.65 crore with a 21-day deadline to complete the works in June this year.
