CHINA (Metro Rail News): China Railway International stated that a high-speed train and an inspection train for the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed railway arrived at the Indonesian port of Jakarta.

The 350 km/h Fuxing high-speed trains, from China, served as the advanced and mature technology for the trains.

The trains, which followed Chinese standards, were presented in Qingdao, Shandong province. The goods will be delivered by road to a Bandung high-speed rail station in Bandung. Bundling and other testing work will be done on site after which the trains will be delivered to the local operator.

CRRC Qingdao Sifang Co., Ltd., has designed and developed a total of 11 bullet trains and an inspection train. The company has also modified its operations to better suit the routes and local environment in Indonesia in order to provide customers with a more comfortable travel experience.

Indonesia will receive the remaining 10 bullet trains prior to 2023.

The high-speed line between Jakarta and Bandung is the first foreign rail project in China to fully use Chinese standards and technology. Additionally, it represents a turning point for China’s Belt and Road Initiative.

The 142-km line’s construction started in 2018 and is scheduled to be finished in June.
