Amritsar–Jammu HSR is a proposed 190 km bullet train corridor planned by NHSRCL to connect Amritsar and Jammu across 6 stations. Its route map, stations and latest updates are below.
The Amritsar-Jammu High-Speed Rail corridor is a proposed bullet train line of about 190 km planned by the National High Speed Rail Corporation (NHSRCL) as a northward extension of the Delhi-Amritsar corridor, connecting Amritsar with Jammu via Pathankot across Punjab and Jammu & Kashmir. It is designed for 320 km/h running across roughly 6 stations.
The corridor is at the proposed stage; alignment, cost and timeline are yet to be finalised.
Chained to the Delhi-Amritsar line, this segment would pull Jammu and the wider region within a few hours of the capital and anchor high-speed rail in India’s far north. Its progress depends on the Delhi-Amritsar corridor advancing first.
