New Delhi: Despite the larger belief being that the main focus of the Union Budget 2018-19 was on the agricultural economy, the infrastructure sector remained the single largest target area for Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, who termed it the “growth driver of economy” while announcing an “all-time high allocation to rail and road sectors”. Here are the highlights of the Union Budget 2018 in view of railway projects in India:-

• বিত্তীয় বৰ্ষৰ বাবে ৰে "লৱেৰ মূলধন ব্যয় হিচাপে ₹1.48 লাখ কোটি টকা আৱণ্টন কৰা হৈছে। এই ধনৰ বেছিভাগ ক্ষমতা সম্প্ৰসাৰণত ব্যয় কৰা হ 'ব, কিয়নো ই ৰাষ্ট্ৰীয় পৰিবহণৰ বাবে এক অগ্ৰাধিকাৰ।
• প্ৰায় 18,000 কিলোমিটাৰ ৰে 'ল লাইন দুগুণ কৰা হ' ব আৰু ক্ষমতাৰ সীমাবদ্ধতা দূৰ কৰিবলৈ গেজ ৰূপান্তৰৰ কাম চলি আছে।
• আগন্তুক বছৰত 36,000 কিলোমিটাৰ ৰে "লপথ নৱীকৰণৰ লক্ষ্য নিৰ্ধাৰণ কৰা হৈছে আনহাতে 4,267 ব্ৰডগেজ পথত থকা মানৱ বিহীন ৰে" লপথ ক্ৰছিংসমূহ অহা দুবছৰৰ ভিতৰত আঁতৰ কৰিব লাগিব।
• উচ্চ গতিৰ ৰে "ল নেটৱৰ্কৰ বাবে মানৱশক্তিক প্ৰশিক্ষণ দিবলৈ বদোদৰাত এটা নতুন প্ৰতিষ্ঠান স্থাপন কৰা হ" ব।
• সকলো ৰে "ল ষ্টেচনত 25,000 তকৈ অধিক পদচিহ্ন থকা এস্কেলেটাৰ স্থাপন কৰিব লাগিব, আনহাতে সকলো ৰে" লত ক্ৰমান্বয়ে ৱাইফাই, চিচিটিভি আৰু অন্যান্য অত্যাধুনিক সুবিধা প্ৰদান কৰিব লাগিব।
• 600খন ৰে "ল ষ্টেচনৰ পুনৰ বিকাশ কৰা হ" ব।

While noting that almost the entire network would be shifted to broad gauge, he said electrification work was also being expanded and 4,000 km are targeted for commissioning.[caption id="attachment_10527" align="alignnone" width="726"] Proposed High Speed Rail Transit System in India[/caption]The finance minister said work on the eastern and western dedicated freight corridors was also progressing and Railways would be procuring 12,000 wagons, 5,160 coaches and approximately 700 locomotives during 2018-19.
