NEW DELHI (Metro Rail News): In a major step to make long-distance travel easier and more convenient, Indian Railways is introducing the new Amrit Bharat Express between Dhanbad and Coimbatore. The service will connect Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu and cover 39 major stations along the route.

Two trains will operate on this corridor. The Dhanbad-Coimbatore Amrit Bharat Express will start its journey on Saturdays, while the Coimbatore-Dhanbad Amrit Bharat Express will begin operations on Tuesdays.

Currently, the main direct trains between Dhanbad and Coimbatore are the Dhanbad-Alappuzha Express and its return service.
