AHMEDABAD (Metro Rail News): Following the geotechnical work tender for Ahmedabad Metro Phase 3C, Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation has now moved to Phase 3B and initiated the tendering process for its geotechnical investigation. This move shows the institution’s vision to materialise the project at the earliest.
The work will be executed on a 12.576 km elevated section from Canal Road to Badrabad Dead End

Detailed Scope of Work: Engagement of Agency for Geotechnical Investigation Work for 12.576 Km Elevated Viaduct from Canal Road to Badrabad Dead End (from Chainage 6904.984 to 19481.228) of Ahmedabad Metro Rail Project-Phase -III (B).
As part of the assignment, the selected contractor will undertake comprehensive geotechnical investigations along the proposed elevated corridor to assess sub-surface conditions and support the detailed design of civil structures.
The scope includes conducting borehole drilling at designated locations, collecting soil and rock samples to determine the engineering properties of the soil and rock strata. The agency will also prepare detailed geotechnical reports covering soil stratification, groundwater conditions, bearing capacity assessments, foundation recommendations, and other geotechnical parameters required for the design of viaduct piers, stations, and associated structures. The investigations will help optimise foundation design, ensure structural safety, and facilitate the smooth execution of the metro project.
