DELHI (Metro Rail News): National Capital Region Transport Corporation Ltd. (NCRTC) has issued an Invitation for Bids for the shifting and modification of high-voltage transmission lines along the Delhi-Panipat-Karnal Namo Bharat Corridor.
Project Overview
The project, identified as Bid No. DK/UD/COR-OF/022, involves the shifting and modification of 220kV and 132kV transmission lines belonging to Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited (HVPNL) that are currently infringing on the Delhi-Panipat-Karnal Namo Bharat Corridor route. The work covers a substantial stretch from Chainage 35200 to Chainage 103000, spanning approximately 68km along the corridor.

The Delhi-Panipat-Karnal RRTS (Regional Rapid Transit System), also known as the Namo Bharat corridor, is a planned 136 km high-speed rail link connecting Delhi to major hubs in Haryana. As of February 2026, the project has received approval from the Public Investment Board (PIB) and is awaiting final sanction from the Union Cabinet.
