BANGALORE (Metro Rail News): Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation (BMRCL), Managing Director, Dr. J Ravishankar, IAS, inspected the Reach 6 of Bangalore Metro on 30 August.

The inspection was conducted from the Kalena Agrahara to MG Road. Bangalore Metro’s Reach 6 (Pink Line) is a 21.386 km metro corridor that connects Kalena Agaraha – Nagawara through 18 stations. The Reach 6 of the Bangalore Metro is part of 2 new metro corridors, which were introduced in Phase 2.
In addition, BMRCL MD Dr. J Ravishankar also inspected Phase 2A of the Bangalore Metro on 29 August. Phase 2A of the Bangalore Metro consists of one new 18 km metro corridor ( Blue Line), which will connect the Silk Board to K.R. Puram. The inspection was conducted from the Central Silk Board to the Baiyappanahalli Depot.

The inspections conducted by BMRCL MD focused on the progress of civil construction, finishing work, track installation, and system-related components essential to the corridor’s set target.
Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also inaugurated the much-awaited Yellow Line of Bangalore Metro on 10 August. The yellow line of Bangalore Metro spans 19.15 km from R.V. Road to Bommasandra. He also laid the foundation stone for the 44.65-km Phase-3 expansion of the Bangalore Metro Project. To know more about this news: Click Here.
