BANGALORE (Metro Rail News): CMRS conducted the safety inspection of the 2.1 km KR Puram-Baiyappanhali metro line successfully on Thursday. The clearance will be received in a few weeks but with certain conditions.
A team from CMRS has conducted the safety inspection, including the inspection of metro tracks, signalling, viaducts, girders, etc. But there is also a buzz regarding the phased opening of the line as the Kengri-Challaghatta line is yet to be inspected. Moreover, dates have yet to be finalised for the same even now.
Once both the sections, namely, KR Pura-Baiyappanhali & Kengri-Challaghatta, are opened, the 44Km-long Purple Line will become fully operational, providing easy & efficient commutation between Whitefield & Challaghatta.
