
NEW DELHI (Metro Rail News): The proposal to redevelop the New Delhi and Ahmedabad station is back at the planning stages, seven months after the Union Cabinet sanctioned Rs 10,000 crore for the renovation of Ahmedabad, New Delhi and the Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj terminus, stations.
The Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA) suspended the bidding procedure because the lowest bidders quoted prices that were far higher than the railways’ predictions and were not justified.

How come CSMT redevelopment is 2450 crores, when New Delhi is 5000 crores and even Ahmedabad is around 3000 crores. The proposed bldg on PDmello road does not match with the architecture of the main structure at all. And New Delhi/Ahmedabad proposed bldgs look futuristic.
