NEW DELHI, INDIA (Metro Rail News): For Delhi Metro’s Phase 4 project, six firms submitted offers by the end of October to commission receiving and primary auxiliary substations, as well as high-voltage cabling (DE-04).

This 65.1-kilometre project includes a new line (23.62-kilometer Silver Line: Aerocity-Tughlakabad) as well as the extension of the Magenta Line (28.92-kilometer Janakpuri West – R.K.Ashram) and Pink Line (12.58-kilometre Mukundpur – Maujpur).

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) had invited bids for package DE-04 in June 2021, with a budget of Rs. 29.79 crore and a deadline of 36 months.

The project had six bidders, namely IRCON International Ltd., KEC International Ltd., Larsen & Toubro (L&T), Linxon India Pvt. Ltd., Siemens Ltd., Sterling & Wilson (SWPL)

Design, Detail Engineering, Supply, Installation, Testing & Commissioning of Receiving And Auxiliary Main Substation Including High Voltage Cabling From Grid Substation were some brief scope for Phase-IV Of Delhi Metro Rail Project.

The bids are currently undergoing technical examination, which might take many months. After that, the financially eligible bidders’ financial bids will be opened to determine the lowest bidder and most likely contractor for this package.

The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) will fund this package with an Rs 8,390 crore loan, used to fund 44 civil and system projects.
