L&T bags Tender to construct 33 km stretch from Duhai – Meerut’s Shatabdi Nagar

MEERUT (Metro Rail News): Delhi-Meerut Rapid Rail Transit System (RRTS) civil construction including seven stations to Larsen & Toubro (L&T), the construction is ready to commence on the 33 km stretch from Duhai in Ghaziabad-Shatabdi Nagar in Meerut.

An official said that the contract had been given the construction work would speed up. Few pre-construction activities like the widening of the road, relocation of above high-tension power stretch, foot-over-bridges are in many stages of completion.

The RRTS that would decrease travel time among Delhi-Meerut to almost 50 minutes is ready to be operational by 2025. Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS Corridor with a distance of 82 km long has twenty-four stations with multiple depots at Duhai-Modipuram.

PRO at NCRTC, Sudhir Sharma said that NCRTC is assigned to finish the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS corridor in the designated time & sanctioned expense.

While the civil work on the priority section among Sahibabad-Duhai is in full speed, the work on the rest stretch of the corridor has also gained force.
