Kalindee-ASIS JV wins AFC Contract for Mumbai Metro Line 3

Mumbai, Metro Rail News: Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRC) awards contract for Automatic Fare Collection ( AFC) for Metro 3 Colaba-Bandra-SEEPZ corridor to Consortium of M/s ASIS Elektronik be Billisim Sistemleri A.S.,Turkey & Kalindee Rail Nirman a Div of Texmaco Rail & Engineering Ltd India ( Kalindi-ASIS JV).

The work consists of design, manufacture, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of the system at all the 27 stations of the corridor.

Speaking on awarding of AFC contract Ms Ashwini bhide MD MMRC emphasised on the importance of the AFC system in metro operations to cater heavy ridership & also said timely implementation of AFC will ensure the Metro3 project is commissioned within stipulated timelime

The proposed Automatic Fare Collection system will support MMRDA’ s “Common Mobility Card” hence providing seamless travel to commuters of Mumbai Metropolitan Region
