Nagpur: The Commissioner of Metro Railway Safety (CMRS) is ready to inspect Nagpur Rolling Stocks and the MIHAN car depot. The team of Mumbai and Lucknow officials, led by CMRS, Central Circle, Mumbai, will arrive on January 16 for inspection. The CMRS inspection and its subsequent report would pave the way for greater approval of the approval and use of the Maha Metro Rail Board for the Maha Metro passenger service.

According to the scheduled program, the team of senior officials will arrive for a one-day visit and initially, will inspect the rolling installations and maintenance facilities at the Metro Car station in MIHAN. Inspection is essential to ensure the safety and comfort of passengers traveling on the Metro train. The team will also travel on the Metro train from Airport South Station to MIHAN Car Depot to supervise all facilities.

During this trip, the team will verify all relevant parameters for a smooth and safe operation of the train. The team will inspect the storage facilities, such as the mobile connector, the rescue equipment and the commutator, necessary for the maintenance of the train. The team will also inspect the traction substation used to power the 25 KW traction supply for the main line and the reservoir.

It should be recalled that on September 30 last year a trial was conducted in the 5.1 km long section by the Chief Minister Devendra Fadanvis and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari. The Maha Metro Nagpur team is fully prepared for the proposed visit to the CMRS and also hopes to obtain the necessary approval for the start of the passenger race.
