(Metro Rail News): A major milestone has been achieved for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train Project. On January 2, 2025, the construction of a 210-meter-long pre-stressed concrete (PSC) bridge was successfully completed over National Highway-48 (Delhi-Chennai) at Vaghaldhara village near Panchlai in Valsad district, Gujarat.


Key Features of Bridge
- The bridge spans 210 m and is the 3rd Pre-stressed concrete (PSC) bridge completed for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train Project on NH 48.
- The bridge is located between Vapi and Bilimora Bullet Train stations.

- The bridge features 72 precast segments and spans a configuration of 40m + 65m + 65m + 40m.
- The bridge has been constructed through the Balanced Cantilever Method, which is ideal for larger spans.

Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train Project
Mumbai Ahmedabad High-Speed Corridor (MAHSR) is an under-construction high-speed rail line that spans 508 km ( 348 Km Gujarat, 04 Km DNH & 156 Km Maharashtra) between Mumbai and Ahmedabad through 12 stations.
Out of 12 stations planned for MAHSR, 8 stations are located in Gujarat while the remaining 4 stations are located in Maharashtra.
