AMSTERDAM (Metro Rail News): Amsterdam Airport Schiphol will increase its involvement in hyperloop by extending the partnership with the Dutch hyperloop company Hardt Hyperloop, that was 1st announced in 2018.

From now, the parties have carried out a joint study which displays hyperloop can perform a major role in Schiphol fitting the envisioned sustainable multi-modal hub.

According to the study the hyperloop can substitute up to 12.5 million of the commuters that will travel by Schiphol by 2050. When a joint study released it tells how hyperloop can emerge as a new sustainable model of high-speed travel & shows hyperloop can displace a share of Schiphol’s little-haul flights in 2050.

A first network which connects Schiphol with the main neighbouring airports of Germany, Belgium, France & the UK that now have direct flight links, a study proposes.

Around 73 million people will be flying by 2050 from the major cities in this network. As per the study, Around 12.5 million of the commuters that will move from Schiphol by 2050, hyperloop would be able to substitute.

Substituting little-haul flights along with hyperloop will release capacity, that can be utilized to keep Schiphol’s role as a leading European airport hub.

Hardt and Schiphol were raised by Royal BAM Group, UNStudio, CE Delft, Stibbe, AirportCreators & Dutch Boosting Group & SEO Amsterdam Economics as an advisory role while leading this study.
