Nashik Metro Neo is a planned 32 km rapid transit network for Nashik, Maharashtra, set to be India’s first Metro Neo system, using rubber-tyred, overhead-electric coaches as a lower-cost alternative to conventional metro. Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation (Maha-Metro) is the nodal agency.
The network comprises two corridors, roughly 22 km from the Satpur area to Nashik Road and about 10 km from Gangapur Road to Mumbai Naka, together serving close to 30 stations. The Detailed Project Report has been approved by the Government of Maharashtra and awaits sanction from the Government of India before construction can begin.
