Kochi Metro Rail Limited (KMRL) is engaging 70 apprentices for one year under the Apprentices Act, 1961, through notification KMRL/Apprenticeship/2026-27/HR-Admin/01 dated 15 October 2026. Graduates, diploma holders and ITI trade holders can apply. There is no application fee, written test or interview. Applications close on 10 November 2026.
Categories and stipend

Apprentices also get ₹1,200 a month as food allowance. The 70 places are split across categories and reservation groups (UR 28, SC 11, ST 5, OBC-NCL 19, EWS 7); KMRL says the numbers are indicative and may vary.
Eligibility
- Qualification: a full-time, regular degree, diploma or ITI course in the listed disciplines, passed within five years of the closing date. Part-time, correspondence, distance and online qualifications are not eligible.
- Age: at least 18 years.
- Not eligible: candidates awaiting final results, or who have done or are doing apprenticeship training anywhere.
How to apply
First register on the NAPS portal (ITI) or the NATS portal (degree and diploma) and complete the profile. Then submit the application in KMRL's format with your NAPS/NATS enrolment number, mark sheets, certificates, proof of age and any category certificate, through KMRL's careers portal. The notification also gives the postal address of the General Manager (HR, Admin and Training), Kochi Metro Rail Ltd, 4th Floor, JLN Stadium Metro Station, Kaloor, Kochi 682017.
Selection process
Shortlisted candidates are called for document verification. Engagement follows acceptance of the apprenticeship contract on NATS/NAPS, a medical certificate and police verification. The training does not carry a right to employment with KMRL.
