How the fare is worked out

DMRC charges by the shortest distance between the two stations, not by the route you actually take, so changing lines does not cost extra. The calculator uses the same rule. Its distances are built from each station’s position and scaled so every line matches its official length, which means a trip that falls very close to a fare boundary (2, 5, 12, 21 or 32 km) may cost one step more or less than shown. Journey times are estimates based on about two minutes per station and five minutes per interchange.

The calculator covers the DMRC network: Red, Yellow, Blue, Green, Violet, Pink, Magenta and Grey lines, and the Airport Express Line. The Noida Metro Aqua Line and Rapid Metro Gurugram have separate fares. For stations, maps and the latest news, see the Delhi Metro project page.
