KOCHI (Metro Rail News): The Kochi Metro Rail Limited (KMRL) has announced Johnson Lifts Private Limited as the lowest bidder for the elevator contract of Kochi Metro Phase 2 Project.
KMRL invited bids for this contract with a 730 days deadline.Technical bids were opened on 29 September 2025 announcing that 2 firms have submitted bids for the contract and the technical evaluation of the submitted bids occurred on 27 Nov 2025. On the same day, financial bids were opened revealing that Johnson Lifts is the lowest bidder for the contract and the firm received LoA from Maha-Metro.

Contract Scope of Work: Design, Manufacturing, Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of Heavy Duty Machine Room Less Elevators For Phase II of The Kochi Metro Rail Project.
The Phase 2 of Kochi Metro consists of one metro corridor (Pink Line) which spans 11.2 km from JLN Stadium to Infopark covering 11 stations.
Recently, KMRL also announced Schindler India Private Limited as lowest bidder for the escalator contract of the Kochi Metro Phase 2.
