PATNA (Metro Rail News): The Patna Metro Rail Project achieved a major milestone as the first fitness trials runs were successfully conducted on the Line 2 of Patna Metro on 7 September 2025. The Line 2 of Patna Metro spans 14.05 km between Patna Junction Railway Station and New ISBT featuring 12 stations.

The trial runs were conducted between the Patna Depot and Bhoothnath Metro Station of Line 2. During the trials, several critical systems were thoroughly tested to ensure safe and efficient metro operations.


Recently, Shri Jibesh Kumar, Minister of Urban Development and Housing Department (UDHD) also inspected the Metro Depot and the Zero Mile Metro Station of Patna Metro. To know more about this new: Click Here.
The Patna Metro Project is an under-construction Mass Rapid Transit System (MRTS). Phase 1of Patna Metro includes two metro corridors and a total of 24 stations.
