CHENNAI (Metro Rail News): Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) signed the contract agreement with M/s Larsen & Toubro Limited on 26 April 2023 for track work in Corridor-03.
The project (Contract No. CP18A-ATW-09) is a part of JICA funding for Phase II, which entails testing, providing, installing, and commissioning ballastless track of standard gauge along with all related works in the elevated and underground sections of Corridor 3 between Madhavaram Milk Colony and Sholinganallur.
The CMRL issued a Letter of Acceptance to M/s Larsen & Toubro Limited on 22.12.2022 for INR 299,46,86,979/- (Excluding Provisional Sum and GST).
The Contract Agreement is signed by Thiru. T. Archunan, Director (Projects), on behalf of CMRL and Thiru. Sunil Khattar, Vice President, Head-Metro Business unit, on behalf of M/s L&T. Thiru. S. Ashok Kumar, Chief General Manager (T&EC), Thiru. D. Gurunath Reddy, Additional General Manager (CP), Officials from the CP department and Track department of CMRL, GC and M/s L&T were present during the Contract Agreement signing ceremony.
